G500 Flies in Style

A bold new aircraft deserves a dashing new look.

P1, the fifth Gulfstream G500 test aircraft, sports an exterior paint scheme with windswept striping that evokes a sense of speed—especially suitable because the G500 is designed for a maximum Mach of 0.925.

The aircraft serves two primary functions: its first role is as a cabin interior testing platform. The fully outfitted cabin and galley will undergo hundreds of hours of use and evaluation to ensure maximum efficiency, functionality and comfort. The G500 carries up to 19 passengers, has forward and aft lavatories and includes a full-size galley that can be located forward or aft of the main cabin.

The new exterior serves as one example of a dynamic new five-stripe color design.

Delivery of the first G500 is scheduled for 2018.
